MANDATE

       The Campus is committed to carry out its four mandates: Instruction, Research, Extension and Production (IREP), and to provide quality service to its clienteles- the students and other stakeholders.

 

COLLEGE OF AGRICULTURE

 Vision of the College of Agriculture

            A dynamic center for excellence not only in technology generation, dissemination and utilization in the area of Agricultural Sciences but also a “Learning Organization” that embraces and shares new ideas and innovations.

 Mission of the College of Agriculture

            To aggressively pursue the provision of advanced instruction in agricultural sciences and the conduct of researches aimed to contribute in poverty reduction and enhancement of our natural resources.

Goals of the College of Agriculture

  1.     To provide quality instruction in the fields of Agriculture, Agricultural Engineering and Agri-Business management; promote research; engage in extension and generate income;
  2.      To provide globally competitive graduated needed in teaching, research and extension, agro-industries and other agencies imbued with social, cultural and moral values.
  3.      To produce leaders who are responsible in the utilization, conservation and management of natural and human resources. 

OBJECTIVES OF THE AGRICULTURE DEPARTMENT

1. To provide quality instruction in the field of Crop Science, Animal Science, Sericulture, Soil Science and Apiculture;

2. To produce globally competitive agriculturists who would be Farm Managers, Researchers, Extension Agents, Teachers and Entrepreneurs imbued with moral, social and cultural values;

3. To produce competent agriculturists as major players in sustainable agriculture and in the protection of our environment;

4. To generate, verify and package technologies that will increase agricultural production;

5. To disseminate relevant technologies/breakthroughs that could uplift the socio-economic conditions of the community;

6. To develop capability of students for critical thinking and professional leadership in agriculture.

 

OBJECTIVES OF THE AGRICULTURAL ENGINEERING

  1.     To train students in the application of engineering principles particularly in the solution of problems related to agro-industrial development;
  2.      To prepare students to become professionals with globally entry level competencies;
  3.      To develop student’s moral values and appreciation of the potentials of an agricultural engineering business enterprise; and
  4.     To instill critical thinking in the student’s concern for the preservation and protection of the natural environment.

 OBJECTIVE OF AGRIBUSINESS MANAGEMENT

  1.     To provide quality agri- entrepreneurship education and service
  2.      To produce globally competitive, pro-environment and socially responsive entrepreneurs.
  3.      To prepare students for gainful employment in the agribusiness sector.
  4.      To conduct socio – economic research related to agro-industries, academic and business issues.
  5.      To disseminate agribusiness related information that contribute to the socio-economic upliftment of the community.

 

COLLEGE OF EDUCATION

Vision of the College of Education

            Our vision is for the College of Education to become “A Regional Training Center for  BSE and BEEd programs.

 

Mission of the College of Education

            The main concern of the Teacher Education is the preparation of teachers  imbued  with the ideals, aspirations and tradition of Philippine life and culture, and sufficiently equipped with knowledge of effective delivery system.

 

OBJECTIVES OF THE SECONDARY EDUCATION PROGRAM

  1.      Provide a human resource pool of effective and globally competent teachers to deliver educational services in the secondary level.
  2.      Provide experiences in would – be teachers to acquire basic and higher order skills particularly critical thinking and problem solving.
  3.      Equip would – be teachers with skills and competencies in discovering, verifying, applying and expanding the frontiers of knowledge through research.
  4.      Participate in the government efforts to uplift the quality of community life through its expansion and outreach services.
  5.      Provide leadership in innovative delivery systems in different subject areas.
  6.      To provide graduates with knowledge, skills and attitude required in developing a sense of responsibility towards , environmental preservation to benefit the present and    future generation.

COLLEGE OF COMPUTER STUDIES

 

Goals of the College of Computer Studies

            To produce excellent and globally competitive graduates capable of integrating information technology in the design and implementation of information systems for the business processes.

 

Objectives of the College of Computer Studies

  1.     To develop in the students a critical and analytical mind capable of providing solutions and technical problems;
  2.      To prepare the students to perform their tasks conscious of the highest professional, social, ethical and moral sincerity;
  3.     To train future leaders in information and communications technology imbued with strong involvement in research and extension and environmental protection activities.

 

INSTITUTE OF VETERINARY MEDICINE

 

Mission of the Institute

The institute of the veterinary medicine shall produce and train quality graduates who are competent in the practice of general Veterinary Medicine such as food animal practice, companion animal practice, zoo, wildlife, aquatic and laboratory practice and veterinary public health.

 

Goals of the Institute

  1.     To train and develop leaders in the field of veterinary medicine with professional work attitude and entrepreneurial skills.
  2.    To cultivate ethical/interpersonal relations with peers and clients and general public applying the principles of the different forms of communications.
  3.    To help the animal industry in generation of appropriate technology through the conduct of priority and relevant researches, promoting public health and bio-security programsthat will contribute to national development.
  4.    To demonstrate effectiveness in the various forms of extension and community services especially in diagnosis, treatment, prevention, control of animal diseases that is of public health importance amidst climate change.
  5.    To formulate plans and implement programs for diagnosis, treatment, prevention, control and eradication of animal diseases.(also to adopt a diagnostic protocol  for abnormality).
  6.    To identify animal health problems in geophysical environment and to promote and implement animal welfare programs.
  7.    To plan, implement and monitor cost effective programs in animal production.
  8.   To safeguard and protect the environment for sustainable development

 

Objectives of the Institute

  1.     To produce graduates:a.     Who are competent in the  practice of general veterinary medicine such as, food  animal practice, companion animal practice, zoo, wildlife and laboratory animal practice and veterinary public health; andb.     Equipped with knowledge and skills in the treatment, prevention and control of animal diseases in veterinary public health, animal welfare, animal production and research and extension.
  2.        To inculcate in its graduates social consciousness, professional ethics and sense of responsibility to work towards national goals and development.
  3.      To provide veterinary medical services in the region in general and in the University in particular.

 

INSTITUTE OF ENVIRONMENTAL STUDIES

 

Mission of the Institute

            The Institute shall become the University’s leading academic unit in the promotion of environmental protection, an advocate for the conservation of natural resources and energy through functional, instruction, research, extension and production.

  • To foster environmental literacy among internal and external community stakeholders;
  • To develop environmental activities/projects that would redound to benefit the environment through functional research and extension works.
  • To produce committed and responsible environmental specialist imbued with moral, social and cultural values and with deep concern in the protection of the environment and in the conservation of natural resources.

  • To produce professionals with high level of environmental awareness and with deep concern for sustainable society.

INSTITUTE OF AGROFORESTRY AND WATERSHED MANAGEMENT

 

Mission of the Institute

To provide advanced instruction in the arts, agriculture, forestry, fisheries, engineering and natural sciences as well as in technological and professional fields, to promote research, and engage in extension work (P.D. 1778)

Goal of the Institute

To produce quality graduates in agroforestry, forestry and watershed management; generate information and develop relevant technologies; and promote their dissemination and adoption in response to the challenges of sustainable development.

 

Objectives of the Institute

  • 1.     To provide quality education in agroforestry, forestry and watershed management.
  • 2.     To conduct appropriate researches in agroforestry, forestry and watershed management.

 

  • 3.     To package, disseminate and showcase matured technologies in agroforestry, forestry and watershed management.

DMMMSU Graduate Studies shall always endeavor to fulfill the following goals:

  1.     To develop competent human resources in the different disciplines with the needed expertise and leadership in support to regional and national agenda;
  2.      To strengthen desirable values in the professional as dynamic change agent for sustainable development;
  3.      To promote quality research and development; and
  4.      To develop highly qualified and innovative entrepreneurs who shall contribute to the socio-economic growth of the country and the region.
